DENICE SEALY

SCREENWRITER/ACTOR

RED WALL ARTIST

Denice Sealy grew up in a suburb of Washington, D.C. and began to cultivate her interest in the arts at an early age. By the time she was ten, she was performing with a theatre group and studying dance. By high school, she was fully engaged in a rigorous academic and artistic curriculum, splitting her nine hour school days between a highly respected private school and the high school of the performing arts. After a year of liberal arts education in college, Denice decided to study theatre at a more challenging level and applied to Carnegie Mellon University's Department of Drama. She was one of the ten percent of applicants to be accepted. She graduated with a BFA in drama after having studied many aspects of classical and contemporary theatre and moved to New York where she performed in off-Broadway and regional theatre as well as television. She wrote and directed one person shows for herself and others before moving to Los Angeles. She most recently had the pleasure of being directed by Spike Lee and is presently writing her second script.
